Tox-Away Day (Brownsburg) @ Brownsburg High School

Our first Tox-Away Day for 2019 will be held at Brownsburg High School, (1000 South Odell Street) from 8am to 1pm.  Please enter the event from Odell Street.

Tox-Away Days are opportunities for Hendricks County households to properly recycle or dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW), tires, electronics & appliances. All HHW (chemicals, auto fluids, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, pesticides, herbicides, medicines, sharps, fire extinguishers, propane tanks, etc.) is accepted from households free of charge. (Latex paint should not be brought to Tox-Away Day for disposal. Instead, dry it out & throw it away.)

Fees are charged for the recycling of TV’s ($20/$25), appliances ($5/$10) and tires (over a certain number). Cash & check accepted.

Households only, please. Regulations prohibit business wastes from being accepted.  Check here to learn more.

2019 Board Meeting @ Hendricks County Government Center

The Board of the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District will meet at 7:00 am on the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July, and October.  The dates for 2019 are Jan. 22, 2019, April 23, 2019, July 23, 2019, and October 22, 2019.  All of the meetings are held in the Hendricks County Government Center, 355 S. Washington St., Danville, IN  46122, in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room.  Please call our office at 317-858-6070 for further information. The meetings are open to the public.  Check here for the current Board Members.
